A Mixed Jamaican in Multi-Cultural and Racist Britain?, is a Cultural Awareness and People Development Education Book that aims to; generate serious conversation about the racial and cultural challenges within the Black community, constructive action to take in response to the various issues and how to tackle racism alongside other anti-racists.
There are 10 Chapters, each that begins with an Introduction, giving an overview of the area of discussion. Please be aware there are no photographs and pictures, inside the Book, although all of the photographs and images shown on this Book website are referenced directly or indirectly. There is a Bibliography listing at the end of the Book, for each Chapter and additional books and information sources are also referred to through the course of the literature. The total number of pages is 339, the Book size is A5 and is suitable for readers of 16 years of age and above.
Among the subjects debated and scrutinised, important for people especially in the Black community include; examining the Black populations living conditions since the 1948 Windrush generation, the effectiveness of various Race policy’s, has Institutional racism been eliminated, and is Britain now a post racial society? The question after Mark Duggan’s controversial, 2011 death, can the police be trusted?, and other social factors concerning Afro-phobia and Race relations are identified.
